Do You Have Tendonitis?
Tendonitis in your feet has become a more common condition over the past year. Many people are affected by this condition.
Achilles tendonitis: is a medical condition that causes pain and or swelling and increased temperature along the back of the leg near the heel. This happens when the Achilles tendon is irritated by overuse syndrome, abnormal gait or injury. This condition is common among athletes and middle age people who are actively engaged in sport activities or people who are on their feet a lot.
The Achilles tendon is a band of tissue that connects calf muscles at the back of the lower leg to your heel bone. This is also the thickest, longest and strongest tendon of the body. There are many other tendons in the foot that may be overused/injured and cause pain.
Peroneal Tendonitis is a condition of pain, swelling and/or increased temperature on the top outside of your foot. If you have been inactive and start a new activity, injure you foot by a twisting motion or being on your feet too much can all contribute to this condition.
